Beck Thomas is a highly regarded and award-winning planning consultant with over 25 years’ experience in urban planning, strategy, property, stakeholder engagement, and policy development. Her expertise includes crime prevention planning, organizational governance, and community engagement. Beck is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course, bringing strong knowledge of business governance, finance, legal, and risk management.
Beck began her career in local government, including as a General Manager, before moving to the private sector in 2011. She has spent the past 11 years with Ekistics Planning and Design. Beck served as Presiding Member of the State Commission Assessment Panel for five and a half years, stepping down in December 2025. She continues to contribute to the sector through appointments on state and council boards and is currently Technical Director for Common Equity Housing.
