In 2024, Charles became the inaugural CEO of the merged national organisation, BaptistCare, comprising Baptcare (VIC, TAS, SA), BaptistCare (NSW, ACT, WA) and Baptist Care SA.

Previously, Charles was the CEO of BaptistCare NSW, ACT and WA, where he served since July 2020.

He has led the organisation through the COVID-19 pandemic, workforce and funding pressures, and the creation of a growth orientated strategy, driving new approaches to risk, quality, property portfolio management and customer experience enhancements with the key objective of enhancing both the customer and employee experience. 

Charles has developed and works alongside a high-performance leadership group.

Prior to this, Charles was the CEO of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority, where he drove the creation and gazettal of the Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan for a diversified and mixed-use precinct while attracting significant new development to the park. Charles has also held senior roles at Colonial First State Global Asset Management and Commonwealth Bank, demonstrating strong leadership and commercial acumen throughout his career.
