Dean Landy is an architect and urban designer committed to shaping more sustainable, liveable, and vibrant cities. A Partner at ClarkeHopkinsClarke, he leads the firm’s Cities & Precincts sector, with over 25 years’ experience delivering major new town centres, mixed-use communities, and urban renewal precincts across Australia.

Dean is also the Head of Urban Planning & Design at Rendeavour, Africa’s largest new city developer, which is delivering more than 30,000 acres of new urban development. He is helping shape six new cities in Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and the Democratic Republic of Congo — creating homes, jobs, and thriving places for millions.

A recognised thought leader in sustainable urbanism, Dean authored Creating Vibrant Communities, a guide to delivering people-focused, 15-minute cities.

He is also the founder and CEO of One Heart, an NGO transforming lives in East Africa through education and care, breaking cycles of poverty and empowering vulnerable children to thrive.
