Pat Gerace brings more than 25 years of experience across both the private and public sectors. He began his career in banking, spending seven years with Bankers Trust and JP Morgan before moving into the public sector as an adviser to the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Urban Development, where he contributed to major projects including the Adelaide Oval redevelopment and the North–South Corridor.

Pat has held several senior leadership roles, including Executive Director of the Local Government Association (LGA), and Chief Executive Officer of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (SA), where he served for seven years. During his time at the UDIA, he was a leading advocate for the development sector and established the GROW REFORM BUILD advocacy platform, which continues to influence policy discussions today

In his current role as State Director for Colliers Engineering & Design in SA, Pat leads a multidisciplinary team delivering outcomes for clients across the development industry. With a strong passion for engagement, advocacy, and practical outcomes, he continues to work closely with clients to help navigate complex challenges and deliver successful projects.

Since taking up his current role, Pat continues to remain closely involved with the UDIA as a member of the Land Supply Committee and previously as Chair. He has also contributed his expertise and time to a range of other UDIA initiatives such as the ESCOSA System Review, National Housing Pipeline, and the Land Supply Dashboard .

His commitment reflects his passion for the role the UDIA plays in supporting its members and strengthening the broader development sector.
